Why I do What I Do...

My work brings together a lifelong love of fashion, 25+ years of experience within the high street fashion industry, working for some of the worlds top brands Gap, Hobbs, Levi's, Allsaints and my personal experience of menopause.

After many years managing endometriosis, I entered medical menopause at 37 before undergoing a full hysterectomy at 42. The physical and emotional impact was significant and ultimately led to the loss of a senior leadership role I loved.

Like many women, I found myself trying to navigate changing symptoms, confidence, identity loss and crippling anxiety. While balancing the demands of work and everyday life. It highlighted how little practical support many women receive during this stage of life.

That experience inspired me to train as a certified menopause coach and create The Forward Edit.

I believe style is about far more than clothes. It’s about understanding who you are today, feeling comfortable in your own skin and rebuilding confidence through life’s transitions, not shrinking to become a version of yourself others think you should be.

My Story

I've loved clothes for as long as I can remember!

As a child, I was always putting outfits together, my family still remember how I insisted on matching my sunglasses to whatever I was wearing. My fashion wheel was my favourite toy and I loved to make clothes for my Barbie’s and help my mum make costumes for my dance shows. That passion led me to study Fashion and Textiles at college and university, where I gained a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion & Textiles.

After the birth of my son, I built a successful career in fashion retail, I've managed some of London's top flagship stores, planed store layouts and created mannequin looks as a Visual Merchandising Manager and recruited and trained store mangers, as a Regional Manager. I have worked for some of the biggest names in fashion retail Hobbs, Gap, Levi's and AllSaints.

Styling has always been at the heart of what I do.

I've trained hundreds of sales associates and in-store personal shoppers to build capsule wardrobes and style with intention. I've styled thousands of customers, mannequins and shop floors. I've always been the "go-to" person, often stopped in stores and asked for advice, even when I'm simply shopping with family or friends.

Becoming a personal stylist has always been a dream of mine-but for a long time, I lacked the confidence to turn that into something of my own. But I've been working hard on that and now I'm doing it.

Not Polished. Not Perfect.  Just Real - And showing up anyway
